Between June and September of 2014 I spent over ninety days at Channel Islands National Park recording sounds.  It’s a special chain of uninhabited islands with many unique acoustic environments, including some of the deepest sea caves in the world.  As a child those islands were just as much home to me as the boat where we lived.

Below you can listen to some of the recordings from Island, a ten channel audio installation that explores themes of time, place, history, and memory.
